First of all - thank you for agreeing to model for me! It’s going to be fun, I promise. To get the most out of it, here’s a bit of information that will help to know beforehand.
What to bring
Some clothing options! Maybe a change of jacket, top, shoes, bags or jewellery. Things that are easy to change out of or in to.
If you’re wearing makeup, bring some things in case it needs to be touched up (mirror, concealer, lipstick, powder).
Some water.
Posing
I will direct you, but it’ll help to get an idea of how to pose ahead of time.
This YouTube video is a great introduction (start at the 2 minute mark and finish at the 7 minute mark - the rest is not relevant for our shoot).
I’ve also put together a Pinterest board of posing examples.
Have a look through, and try to replicate some of them in the mirror. Find a few poses that you like, and try to remember them on the day.
This will make you feel much more comfortable and confident on the day, and you will be much happier with the results.
After the shoot
I will send you a link to a Dropbox folder with a few (usually up to 10) high resolution, edited images.
Disclaimer: Don’t let any of the below scare you or put you off - I’ve had some ahem bad experiences, which is the only reason I’m clarifying the below:
Because I am the copyright holder of these images, these are yours to use for personal use only. That means you can’t use them commercially (eg. in any advertising, or to make money), or submit them to a magazine or website for publishing - but you can post them to your social media profiles (just tag @helloitslep on Instagram if you do) and you’re welcome to get prints made for your home or family members. If you want to use the images for something outside of personal use, please ask first. I will usually be ok with it but I’d like a heads up 😊
When posting to social media, please don’t edit the photos or add filters - if you would like something changed, please let me know. I will usually be happy to make the changes for you - and it will look more realistic than a FaceTune edit.
I will post some to my Instagram (and tag you) and I may post some to my website as well. I won’t use any of them commercially unless we’ve agreed otherwise.
